What is Trailing Maximum Drawdown?
A trailing drawdown moves upward as your account reaches new equity highs. It begins 5% below your starting balance and follows your highest account equity upwards. As your account grows, the permitted loss threshold also rises, protecting accumulated gains. If your equity falls below the current trailing drawdown level at any time, the account breaches the Maximum Drawdown Rule.
Example of Trailing Drawdown
- Starting Balance: $100,000
- Initial Maximum Drawdown Floor: $95,000
- If your account grows to $103,000, the drawdown floor trails to approximately $98,000.
- If the account later reaches $108,000, the drawdown floor rises to approximately $103,000.
- Any fall below the active trailing drawdown level results in a breach.
Daily Drawdown
The Daily Drawdown is 3%. It is the maximum loss permitted during a single trading day. If your account equity exceeds the permitted daily loss limit before the daily reset, the account breaches. Daily Drawdown resets at the broker server's daily reset time.
News Trading Rule
Manual intervention is prohibited within 3 minutes before, during, and 3 minutes after any high-impact (red folder) economic news event. During this restricted period you must not manually open, close, modify or partially close trades, move stop losses, move take profits or modify pending orders. Existing stop losses or take profits placed before the restricted window may execute automatically.
Braking System Rule
Every position must have a valid stop loss attached before it is closed, including trades lasting less than 60 seconds. Opening and closing a trade without a stop loss is a breach of the programme rules.
Prohibited Trading Practices
Copy trading, signal services, account mirroring, group trading, latency arbitrage, high-frequency trading, prohibited hedging, exploiting platform errors and any activity intended to circumvent HyperFunding's risk controls are prohibited.
Payout Eligibility
Payouts are available once the minimum trading day requirement has been satisfied and all programme rules have been followed. KYC verification and any additional compliance checks must be successfully completed before payment.
