Hard & Soft Breaches

Published by HyperFunding Risk & ComplianceUpdated 2026

Soft Breaches

  • A soft breach means we will close all trades that have violated the rule (such as prohibited news trading execution).
  • However, you can continue trading in your Assessment or Funded Account.

Hard Breaches

  • A hard breach occurs when you violate the Daily Loss Limit, the Maximum Drawdown rule, or the 30-day Inactivity rule.
  • In the event of a hard breach, you will fail the Assessment or have your Funded Account closed.
  • Funded & Instant Funding Accounts: If you have gains in your account at the time of a hard breach, they are forfeited unless you purchased the Payout Protector add-on at checkout, which enables you to still receive your portion of the gains generated despite the account breach.
